The 1970 International Motor Show of New York featured a display of the Siata International display at the 1970 New York International Automobile Show.

I was there, only 13 years old at the time.  The Spider is lime green, and I'm told by a former employee that it is the first of two Spiders that they imported (only 2 were built, correct?).  The 2nd car was red.  I'm guessing that the 2nd car was sold to John Rich Motors in California.  John Rich added the fender flares and painted the car black.  That is the Spider we know today.  I'm told the lime green car was destroyed in a road racing accident, but I will do more research to confirm that.

Who knows more about the lime green car? Please mail to me.
